Rita andrade

Rita Andrade is an active violist, violinist and music educator. In the years following training as a viola student at Idyllwild Arts Academy, the University of Texas at Austin and DePaul University, Rita became a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago with an assistant principal position for one season. From there, Rita won the opportunity to be a fellowship member of the Chicago Sinfonietta and Grant Park Symphony Project Inclusion programs.

Alongside her orchestral pursuits, Rita became a certified Suzuki instructor as well as a founding member of the ATLYS String Quartet. Together they have sailed the seas performing over 900 concerts representing Lincoln Center of NYC. The quartet continues to perform across the states as ambassadors of Shar Music and their Young Strings of America Roster as well as representing the Swiss Tech Company, Schertler. Recently ATLYS has collaborated and performed with the renowned electronic dance music artist, Seven Lions, at Red Rocks and The Gorge Amphitheater. 

Passionate in both worlds of being a performing and teaching musician, Rita continues to make a home in Los Angeles playing for film and tv orchestral sessions, recording remotely and teaching privately and with for various organizations such as Harmony Project LA and the Pasadena Youth Symphony. LA performance experiences include the Hollywood Bowl with Kayne West and the Matt Jones Orchestra, as well as playing at The Oscars with Celeste.
