Juanita Devis

Juanita Devis has been an interpreter and translator for more than 18 years for companies like Certified Interpreters, UCLA and SMMUSD. When she was six years old Juanita filmed her first movie, and from that moment she started working as an actor in Colombian television for decades, in miniseries, series, novellas and variety shows. She studied theater in London at Westminster College and The City Literary Institute, and at Howard Fine Acting Studio in Los Angeles. A disciplined and versatile entrepreneuse, Juanita has been a drama teacher for young children, and has also lent the same passion sharing her voice to many audiobooks, cartoons, while acting in dozens of commercials, plays, and TV shows in Los Angeles. Mrs. Devis studied at Santa Monica College and graduated with highest honors with an AA in Liberal Arts and Humanities. Recently she has worked as a Bilingual Community Liaison for three years and as a Family Circle Coordinator for The Broad Stage. Great-granddaughter of a piano player, granddaughter of a soprano singer and wife of a violinist, Juanita expresses her love of music in the most important job of her life, raising her twin boys, who are Elemental Music alumni and currently playing viola and cello in the Samohi Philharmonic. She is a very proud mama!
