Michael torres
Michael “Sayuva” Torres is a Teaching Fellow for Elemental Choir. He is an undergraduate student at UCLA studying music education. Outside of his work at elemental music, he has been an educator for his private studio for 2 years. He actively sings with St. Paul the Apostle Church with the Caritas Quartet and La Schola Cantorum directed by Dr. Joung-a Monica Yum, along as a Bass-Baritone vocalist with the Los Angeles-based “Adoro Ensemble.” Michael also is also an independent artist and composer, with the latest project including a song cycle for vocal ensemble entitled Neuro that tackles the daily challenges that comes with neurodivergence. Michael’s desire for creating music and helping other musicians find their path led him to pursuing a career in music education.
