We’re excited to launch a new 8-week workshop focused on developing ensemble playing and technique for 4th grade woodwind and brass players who just started playing their instruments in the fall!
Beginning in late January 2019, the young musicians enrolled in our Weekend Workshop for Winds will have the chance to work with our veteran teachers and beloved Elemental Band coaches, Emily Senchuk and Meghan Turner, to get a jumpstart in their school music classes. In addition to their work with Elemental Music, both Ms. Senchuk and Dr. Turner have spent years working for SMMUSD as coaches through the Dream Winds program.
Registration is open to fourth graders playing flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, and trombone. Students must currently be enrolled in their school band class and should have started learning their instruments this fall.
When: Saturdays starting late January 2019, 10:30–11:30am
Where: First Presbyterian Church, 1220 2nd St., Santa Monica
Cost: $120 ($15/hr)
Minimum enrollment: 8 students per class - classes will only run if the minimum enrollment is met.
