program Description

Elemental Music is offering group instrumental classes for students in grades 3–5 at our Santa Monica campus.

Our group class teachers focus on the fundamentals of good technique and musicianship, while also supporting students as they begin and strengthen their note-reading journey!

Best of all, our group classes give students a way to make music with others! There is nothing better than making music with friends.

Schedule & Classes

Our group classes will meet on Saturdays at Elemental Music’s campus (1906 Olympic Blvd.). Classes are 50 minutes long.

Elemental Explorers string classes for students in grades 3–5 will meet at 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm. Class offerings include:

  • Beginning Violin/Viola

  • Beginning Cello

  • Intermediate Violin/Viola

  • Intermediate Cello

Winds Workshop wind classes for students in grades 3–5 will meet at 4:00pm. Class offerings include:

  • Winds Workshop - Beginning Flute

  • Winds Workshop - Beginning Clarinet

  • Winds Workshop - Beginning Trumpet

  • Winds Workshop - Beginning Trombone

Tuition & Enrollment

Our group classes will run in three 8-week sessions over the course of the school year. Tuition is $230 per 8-week session. Families can register for individual or multiple sessions or register for multiple sessions.

Students enrolling in our Elemental Explorers string classes must also be co-enrolled in a school orchestra class or an Elemental Music ensemble.

Our Winds Workshop has no co-enrollment requirement, though students who join in Session 2 or Session 3 should have some prior experience.
