Gabrielle Castriotta

Gabrielle currently plays oboe and English horn for the Stockton Symphony and is on faculty at the University of California Santa Barbara.  Actively performing throughout California, she has played with the San Diego Symphony, the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra,  the Long Beach Symphony, Long Beach Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, the Fresno Philharmonic, the Pacific Symphony, the Monterey Symphony, and the Modesto Symphony.  

Also an avid chamber musician, Gabrielle has performed with the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival as well as the Salastina Music Society.  Gabrielle worked as a Teaching Artist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic 2011-2014, and she held a one-year position as second oboe and English horn for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s 2012-2013 season.  She has also taught at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Citrus College. Principal teachers include Allan Vogel, Scott Hostetler, and Carolyn Hove.  She received both a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literary Studies and a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from Northwestern University, as well as a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California.
